As Labor and Employment Counsel, Central Europe, you will serve as the in-house employment attorney for Resideo’s Central Europe region, providing strategic and day-to-day employment and labor law advice, counseling, risk analyses, policy alignment, interpretation and implementation, as well as investigations, litigation management and litigation avoidance and recognize when to elevate significant or material matters to the attention of Resideo’s Associate General Counsel, Labour & Employment, Europe, Middle East and APAC. You will monitor changes and promote an overarching culture of integrity & compliance with all Labour & Employment Laws and regulations in Central Europe. You will partner closely with the EMEA HR team, primarily supporting an employee base in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia and Romania. From time to time you may also be asked to participate in global initiatives, with support from other regional counsel. You will educate and train key internal stakeholders on all Labour & Employment Law related issues for the Central Europe region.
 
Job Duties

Resideo attorneys are expected to know the business and understand business issues, in addition to the legal landscape and risks.  We are looking for team members who can work independently as well as collaboratively within the Legal, HR and business functions.  The Legal team needs to work within the confines of the law but make practical and pragmatic recommendations in real time to meet business and key internal stakeholder needs.
 
The position will report directly to Resideo’s Associate General Counsel, Labour & Employment, Europe, Middle East and APAC. 
 
Required Qualifications 
 
  • Law degree with BAR exam
  • Practicising certificate or equivalent to allow legal services provision in the country of residence
  • 4+ years substantial employment law experience including some employment experience at a law firm 
  • Proficiency in written & spoken English. Additional European languages will be a bonus
